my hair is a bit longer now, but this shot from thesartorialist.com was/is the initial inspiration behind the do and general aesthetic my style has been moving towards. i think she’s the perfect combination of sophisticated masculine femininity - pretty but tough, juxtaposed but balanced fashion (leather pants with a member’s only type jacket?!?!) - done in a very “grown-up” way. even her shoes are delicately bad-ass. the parisians really know how to do it right, even if italians do it better.
